Lock Nuts
Nylock nuts Fasteners have a nylon filled center which prevents the components from loosening. The nylon filling is machine threaded and acts as a lock to ensure that the fastening is secure. The usage of these nuts makes sure that the structural damage to the body is minimum despite repeated assembly and disassembly. There are two ways in which the nylon locks the nut. In the first method, it increases the friction between the nut and screw by forcing the bottom face of the screw threads against the top face of the nut threads. In the second way, a compressive force is exerted against the screw itself.
